Rob is a Team Lead for MEP and has been with Vermeulens since 2012. He has 3-year Business Diploma from Humber College. Rob has worked on many of the firm’s largest and unique projects in higher education, healthcare, science+technology, cultural designs, and other industries. Rob’s approach to each project is meticulous and he thinks of the MEP trades systematically. With each component needing to be identified, he finds that breaking each system down helps him piece together projects in the earlier design stages. Rob really enjoys being involved in projects from the earliest design stages through to contract documents. He finds it fascinating that it takes so many people, so much time, and so much effort to build some of today’s most spectacular buildings. He enjoys working on laboratory and medical projects that will help contribute to a better future for the coming generations.

In addition to his role as Assistant Team Lead, Rob is a Senior MEP Estimator. Rob provides insight into the logistics and complexity of each design stage through relevant project management experience, scheduling, job reviews, reconciliation/client meetings, MEP estimating, and works closely with the A&S and Interiors estimating staff on the project.

Rob enjoys being outdoors, mountain biking, gardening, playing and coaching hockey, and golfing. His favorite hiking spots include Vancouver Island, Algonquin Park, and Northern California.
