Tsoi Kobus & Associates
Tsoi Kobus & Associates designed the new humanities building that continued the English Collegiate Gothic tradition at Boston College. The extension of the middle campus architecture and landscape emphasizes and supports BC’s mission through greater public visibility of its iconic built forms.
Stokes Hall includes 36 new classrooms, 230 faculty offices, conference, honors library, outdoor amphitheatre, a new campus green, respite and support spaces, as well as the Academic Advising Center, Pulse, First Year Experience Programs and IT services. Light, open and inviting communal gathering spaces accent the core of Stokes Hall, facilitating social interaction and community activities. A beautifully landscaped link garden, west lawn, and terraced natural amphitheater create a unique series of outdoor rooms that provide additional spaces for respite, study, and celebration.
